Art is something that plays with human emotions but also it can be critically analyzed based on various things. There are some theories which are there in order to help critics to evaluate pieces of art. There are mainly three theories which are formal theory, contextual theory and expressive theory. The formal theory tries to understand and interpret a piece of art by evaluating the visual elements in the piece such as the uses of lines colors and tones.
